Gerry Katigbak has been in the business for 24 years, and is still very active in the fashion industry by continuously innovating and revolutionizing the status quo in the business. He is known for his enigmatic, gothic and most of the time unorthodox approach. He says he doesn't want to limit himself. He just lets his imagination run wild and free. He believes that creativity is a state of mind, like Buddha experiencing Nirvana under the Bodhi Tree.



Gerry Katigbak likes to experiment. With his works, different combinations of fabrics and embellishments are the key elements of his wondrous and sometimes bizarre works of art. "In fashion, you have to think outside the box. Break the rules. Well, that's my style at least. Every designer has his own style. This is a source of my inspiration to push me to be more creative. I consider myself a non-conformist. I experiment on the look and material in my designs. More importantly, I try to highlight the client's personality so in a sense, they are making their own fashion statement," he says.



Gerry Katigbak believes with conviction that it isn't always what a person wears that makes him/her fashionable. It is one's attitude towards what he/she is wearing. Clothes should provide comfort. Everything else comes second. Clothes should tell a story. There should always be drama. Life and different emotions should embody the clothing.

Gerry Katigbak's Life and Philosophy is "Always evolve don't just adapt to whatever is in fashion. Be not stagnant, nothing in the world remains the same, change is inevitable." He say's; "Fashion should not only speak your mind but also tell people WHO you are."
